about

Hello everybody and welcome! First off I want to thank you for visiting my blog- I am so excited that you are here and hope that you not only enjoy the posts but learn and grow from them as well.

Writing a blog is something I never thought I would do - in fact I consider myself the worst social media user in the history of the world social media-challenged at times. After a drastic life change which included graduating college, moving to a big new city where I didn’t know anyone, and re-dedicating my life to faith, I realized there were not a lot of resources out there for people , such as myself, who are trying to navigate through this new season of life. As a result, I decided to create this blog to offer guidance, support, and love for you women who are trying to figure out how to live a faithful, fit, and flourishing life. Hope you enjoy!

A little about me:

  1. I love making lists. This will become evident very soon as you read through my blog posts.
  2. Although I was born and raised in Florida, I now call Chicago home.
  3. I don’t feel fully myself unless I am outdoors, barefoot, and surrounded my nature.
  4. I am obsessed with setting goals and personal growth. There is always room to grow.
  5. When I was little I told everyone my name was "Rainbow Baby Star" - because the names of your three favorite things when you are 3 would obviously make a killer name.
  6. I’m a bit of a nerd- I get way too excited about science, medicine, psychology, etc.
  7. There is nothing I love more than being cozy- bring on the fuzzy blankets and fireplaces.
  8. I have a special place in my heart for snail mail. Getting letters is one of my favorite things. (hint-hint)
  9. Kind of an adrenaline junkie- love scuba diving, rock climbing, sky diving, zip lining, etc.
  10. My personality has been described as half grandma, half child.
  11. One of my biggest goals is to live simply.
  12. I love love. Bob Goff said it best "It will be our love, not our opinions which will be the greatest contribution to the world.".
  13. One of my favorite activities is playing get to know you games/ice-breaker games.
  14. I hope to one day get a graduate degree in Clinical Health Psychology.
  15. Most importantly I am a wildly imperfect person who is learning everyday. I am by no means an expert at faith, fitness, or flourishing- just someone who is trying to share what I've learned through my own struggles.

Again, WELCOME! Please don't hesitate to leave a comment or write me using the "contact" page at the top of the screen. It would be so excited to hear from you!

Love, Cody

One of my favorites.
